HI I am animating a corrugated hose using the spline wrap tool in cinema 4d and the offset function and also animating the end slider but when watching the render and open GL when it gets so far into the animation it looks like it goes backwards almost like when you watch a car wheel moving it looks to be going in reverse , is there ea way of fixing this ?

    Many thanks

    James

Just as you described for the moving car wheel, what you’re seeing is what is commonly referred to as the “wagon-wheel effect” in movies. When the frame-rate of the film (or the animation) and the revolutions per second of the spinning wheel are equal, the wheel will appear to be motionless, and when they’re slightly different the illusion of spinning in reverse can occur.

Either change the frame rate of the animation, or the rps of the spinning object.

    Hope this helps.
