    IMHO- 1TB is a lot to risk if something goes wrong, especially with LaCie’s iffy track record. I’d go for a smaller drive- like a G-Tech.

    I use a Maxtor One Touch III 500gb to transfer from P2. Nice cheap external drive with rubber padding and good reliability.

    On the G-Tech, is this what your talking about:

    and are you suggesting 500 GB and set that up as Raid 1, so using 250 GB. I think that seems to be what most are doing from what I’m reading.

    I used some Maxtors on my last HVX200 shoot and had no problems. I love G-Tech more though. 🙂

    Noah, I have been looking at both the Maxtor and the G-Tech. As you have experience with both, which attributes of the G-Tech give it the edge over Maxtor. Thanks.
