Anyone seen an effect that ‘bounces’/’zooms’/’pushes in’ to a picture to the beat of the audio? I know it sounds crazy, but it would be really cool for intros. This picture bounced fluidly further in on the louder beats and just shook on the lighter ones.

    Hi,

    Check Sound Keys from Trapcode.

    Salut.

I am not sure if I have seen this effect,
but I would check out Trapcode sound keys. You can link any keyframeable attribute to the peak levels of an audio file.

Adobe has some great After Effects Tuts at their Support sit:

    https://studio.adobe.com/us/search/main.jsp

Just select “After Effects” from the Product Drop Down (middle of the page), and leave “All” in the Topic, Content Type, and Level boxes. This will bring up the Adobe tuts.
Two of them do what you want to do with – Animation>Keyframe Assistant>Convert Audio to Keyframes.

    Using Music to Animate Text

    Let Sound Drive the Motion

    https://studio.adobe.com/us/tips/tip.jsp?p=1&id=100172&xml=aft6ttsound

This one is better taking you through the process step by step, and at the end showing you how to tweak the expression to get the amount of change you want.

Trapcode’s Sound keys is great, but this native AE feature will do quite a bit too.
