July 7, 2011 at 9:41 pmRoger… can you do this without breaking up the clips or applying the transition to the video as well?
I know you can apply transitions to the video and audio with a keystroke (CMD-T) but I don’t want a transition on the video, just the audio.

July 8, 2011 at 4:31 pmTo copy the effect from one clip hit OPTION-COMMAND-C, then highlight all the remaining clips to be copied to and hit OPTION-COMMAND-V. Voila, you have just pasted the audio dissolve to the all the clips.
The only catch here is this key command will copy ALL effects, video and audio. So before your copy expand the animation view from the menu icon in the upper left corner of the clip and uncheck any effects you don’t want to be copied.

July 9, 2011 at 11:13 pmAnother poster alluded to this, but if you create a new Transition in Motion, then save without making any changes, that *is* an audio-only transition. Give it that name when you save, in a Category for your own Transitions (I use Experiments).
