Looking for success storie with Workgroup video hub with Adrenaline as host
Good Morning,
I’m interested in finding out if anybody out there has successfully used the workgroup video hub with an Avid adrenaline as a host. The main purpose for me will be to have both a Panasonic 1700HD deck and a Sony JH3 deck as sources. I will also want to do dubs between “formats”.

The Video Hub works as advertised… it’s a great solution for small facilites (2-3 edit rooms, 5-6 decks, etc). But it’s definately overkill if all you’re doing is switching between 2 decks and 1 edit system. Seems to me what you really need is a HD-SDI patch bay.

I’ve been looking at those, but i prefer to have the 422 control all in one button. Plus the added dubbing capabilites with the format conversion from 720p to 1080i and vice versa.My main concern is if it will mess up any functionality of the Adrenaline..

The only format conversion is 1080i60 to NTSC or 1080i50 to pal. And the quality is not very good, plus only works in letterbox.
