  • Looking for some easy render settings in vegas 12.

    Hi all!

I typically produce some simple edits or video productions, and don’t know too much about render settings. I am mostly an audio guy.

Vegas fits my workflow, but I am wondering about certain render settings.

    What I will typically do:

    – quick youtube uploads (analogous to the “normal” mode in youtube upload
    – high quality youtube uploads (analogous, of course to the “higher” mode in youtube upload
    – a DVD
    – a few mobile formats – mp4 covers iphone pretty well, not sure what other mobile formats are most used.

The problem is, I don’t want to use youtube upload any longer, because I can’t upload a queue overnight for instance. What render settings should I use which would be analogous to “normal” and “higher” mode? Normal is typically used for drafts. I heard Sony AVC internet works for it, I’m trying that now. I would love it if there were just an EXACT same copy of the “youtube upload” render but in the render dialog.

What is best to use for DVD? Nothing special here, just want it to be as high quality as it can be.

What mobile formats are common for people to need? It is the least of my concerns, but I still wonder.

How I WISH there was a “render queue” in vegas as there is in Reaper.

also, if there is a thread or video which covers that, sorry for the clutter and I’d appreciate a link.

    thank you!
