Looking for recommendation…Macro lens

I have a Canon Mark D lll – I am exploring with Macro photography. I been using the kit lens 24 – 105. Not really doing what I would like. To avoid a mistake [which I just did, ordered a macro 60 mm EF-S, I did not pay attention to the S, which is crop sensor only and was just told won’t fit my camera]. When it arrives, I will return it.
I would be interested in recommendation….a macro that is good enough to see the eye of a fly if that is possible. Best Sz

I use the Canon 50mm Macro. You can get extension tubes. Canon also makes a 100mm Macro.

Thank you for responding. I will look into the 50 mm Macro…

If you have time to give impute on these lens [I can buy new] These were second hand and seem might fit the bill maybe [all manual, I am familiar with from the old days of college]

I came across a Zeiss 50 mm f/2.0 Canon EF
35 mm film/full frame
max/reproduction ratio 1:2
there is no auto focus, maybe not so important for Macro?

Canon Normal 50 mm f/3.5 FD Macro Manual Focus Lens with 1:1 Tube.

They are all good lenses. If you can bring your camera and test them before you buy, that’s what I’d so.

I’m in NC….I can’t try first…..B & H in NYC.
Their return policy is wonderful. I hate returning anything
