Activity Forums Blackmagic Design looking for old composite video capture card

A few years ago I did some video editing for a gig I landed and since have moved on to other things. I am getting back into the video realm because I am taking on a new leadership role at my church in the AV group.

We are currently using some USB video capture device to capture composite video to stream up to UStream. I looked on Blackmagic for PCI (not PCI-X) video capture card, but all they have now is PCI-X. Since I am on a budget anyhow, I thought I might stick my head over here and see if you all might know of an older PCI card that has composite video input that I might be able to pick up on used somewhere.

I don’t know the entire history of PCI, but I think they only have PCIe cards now.

I was under the impression that PCI-X was on G5’s and PCI was G3/G4.

Anyone want to clear this up?

What computer do you have and what slots does it have?

I have a lightly-used Blackmagic Design Decklink SP card that will input composite video . . . call me at 919-790-5488 or visit my website at https://www.digiteksys.com for my email address.
