Looking for “Film Breaking” effect for FCP
I used to have this plugin that would send sprocket holes flying through the frame and then go to white.
I have plugins that will add all sorts of film effects including sprocket shutter but cannot find something that will give that breaking effect. Anyone have any ideas. And please don’t send me to After Effects, my mind blanks whenever I open that thing.Thanks

It wouldn’t be that difficult to make a short animation for this.
You could also just build your own in Motion. Except for the tear in the film, all the shapes involved are simple round edge rectangles. Or scan some 35mm negs to use as a template. The tear you can draw freehand.Scott Sheriff

I get a very realistic effect from DigiEffects Delirium. It is called ‘Loose Sprockets’. But no sprocket holes at the edge of the screen.
