    Hello.
I’m in early stages of mock up for a video piece, in which I will have slowly moving figures, with some kind of an extra layer that will effect the image (water, waves, drapes, tiles (such as glass piece that we can see through…)
In any case, I have a ref image I love (by American photographer Erwin Blumenfeld)

I am looking for ideas in achieving this in AE.
So before I jump and try, I thought it would be a good idea to ask here as well!
Any tip or thought will be appreciated!

I did a quick Google search and think this is the image you’re talking about:

I’d take a look at Adjustment Layers which are not as wide as the comp and then play with the Tint effect and various blur effects.

If you’re also after a texture on the “drapes” then you’ll probably want to parent a texture to your adjustment layer. And mask it so it has the same size.

Thanks for the reply Graham, it is actually a similar image, the forum gave me hard time pasting an image…
I got it to work. in a similar way.
    Thanks again!
