does any one know of a fast way to look at fonts in illustrator? back in cs3 on a PC you could highlite a font or text box and then click on the font box and then simply used the up and down arrows to go through all of the installed fonts… how the heck do you do this on CS 5.5 on a MAC

In Illustrator CS 4 (and I think 5) on Mac, the fonts are only previewed from the Character Menu and Character Panel, but NOT the control panel.

If that doesn’t take care of it, you might want to check that you have Font Preview enables in the Type Preference pane (ILLUSTRATOR > PREFERENCES > TYPE > FONT PREVIEW).
