    Hi All,

I’m hoping to create a short in which we have some night running sequences. I want to create an effect like the kind of things you get in still photography: streaky long exposures, ghosting, etc.

My DoP says it not so easy on digital. Anyone got any suggestions how I can mess with my image? I want to do it in camera.

    Thanks

[tom bailey] “My DoP says it not so easy on digital.”

not true unless he is an owner operator who’s camera can’t do it.

Try working with a camera that allows for lower frame rates, often times at 6-8fps and an open shutter, it is easy to mimic the streaky look. different cameras responses require alot to testing.

    Hey Gary,
Thanks for the response, we will give that a go, thats along the lines of what we were thinking. Testing would be the smart thing to do, but we’re so short on time and money. We’ll just achieve what we can.
Thanks so much for your help.
