  Long encoding time for QuickTime DVCPRO HD 720p60

  Hello everyone,

  I\’m using Adobe Media Encoder CS5 on PC to encode a QuickTime file using the DVCPRO HD 720p60 codec. It\’s a 2 hour long Premiere Pro CS5 DVCPRO HD 720p60 sequence that consists of half DVCPRO HD 720p60 video footage, and the other half is AVC INTRA 720p60 video footage. There\’s also about 40 full screen TIFF and JPEG images peppered throughout the sequence, all with default fade in and out effects. This was a multicam shoot of a college lecture.

  Anyway, my issue is that it\’s taking about 10 hours to encode this as a QuickTime file using the DVCPRO HD 720p60 codec. Does this sound about correct, or does it seem too long? I didn\’t check \”use previews\” in AME, and I did check \”use maximum render quality\” in AME.
