  Log/Transcribe within FCP

  This issue has been addressed in previous posts, but does anyone know if Apple plans to incorporate anything that lets editors type transcriptions
  inside FCP without having to capture the video? i.e. while in the Log/Capture window, another window comes up where you can actually take notes w/timecode
  (not talking about the little “log description” window)…something that acts like a word document you can print out or something? I’m sick of having to
  take up disk space to capture an interview just so I can switch between Word and FCP (since the preview function stops when you switch programs). I guess
  my bigger problem is that I don’t have a separate deck and monitor to throw the tape in…I am using my camera to capture (I know it’s hard on the tape
  heads, but budgets are budgets). Any thoughts?
