We are rendering out an approx 29 min project for broadcast that has logos in it. We are working in 17.1.2 APP CC
We are rendering from Media Encoder. Logos when tested in smaller sequences with the same settings appear fine. Sequence renders are Apple Pro Res HQ Upper 1920X1080. Sequence settings and workflow are the same. When rendered in the larger project sequence sometimes logo results. Three logos at the beginning and end of the project standard supporter logos. Some are jpeg some are png. Sized properly. Sometimes we are getting noise/artifacting. In the case of one logo some tartan artifacting. Can we deinterlace the logos only using modify? Or does anyone have experience smoothing this type of workflow?

anytime you go below 444, you get chroma aliasing. prores 422 will sample half the chroma. that being said, if you’re going broadcast, you need to clip 16-235 rgb in luminance levels adjustment layer and clip color output white r240,g240,b240 adj layer to stay within broadcast standards.

depending on the speed of the animation, you can try fieldskit reinterlacer to create interlaced material from progressive material using various techniques, including the use of motion estimation.

Try putting all those images into a 1920×1080 RGB PSD. Cut em back in. Since you don’t say what size those files are, only that they are JPG and PNG. I’m guessing coming from different sources. I like to standardize them all to the same settings and sizes.
