Logo over live video
hello all
I’m helping out a small cable station and I need to get station ID logo (maybe a 3d logo spinning or something) in the lower right corner of the live output. I bought something, only to find out it takes a 256 x 68 monochrome bit map still, and it looked terrible.
I understand the kona 3 does this but I have never seen it in action.So, can kona 3 work here and does it do the job?
Can it loop a logo with an alpha on screen over live video in realtime?
Can it place more than one logo at a time and can you adjust the positioning or crop same?
Can it handle zany stuff like on discovery channel and or other stations where a guy walks on in the lower right, waves then walks off?
Any help guys will be most appreciated

the answer to all of the questions is yes.
all of those functions are handled in the DS Keyer pane of the control panel

Great then this is what I need.
Correct me if I’m wrong but I will not require any external raids or raid adaptor cards if I am just going to use it for what i described above right?. It should just be the kona 3 and the lowest grade macpro (quad core 2.0) ?!

for running a video graphic you need hardware sufficient to continuously play that video.
