  • Logo on footage = uneditable?

    Hello.
I’m editing a piece of media for a client.
I put everything into premiere pro and started to edit. I realised that he had not taken his watermark/logo off the footage he had given me.
I talked to the client about his mistake and he’s away till next week so he can’t give me the unwatermarked footage. Is there any way I can quickly remove the watermarks on the footage i have now?
Is it possible with a plugin or AE? And not have to wait till he can give me the unwatermarked copies?

I’m running mac by the way.

The only ‘quick’ way to remove the watermark would be if the footage was from a locked down shot, and you can cover the watermark with pixels from it’s surrounding area. However, if the shot is moving, it’ll be a frame by frame rotoscope – not very quick.

As Steve says, the difficulty depends on what’s under the logo and how much movement you have.

You may be able to use the Clone Stamp tool to replace the log with pixels from a neighboring set of pixels.
