    hi
    please help..!
am trying to import logos which are EPS files into FCP X.
    they appear greyed out.
i have tried converting them using Preview (application) to PNG and this time it looks like i’m managing to import them but they don’t show up in FCP X…

    any helpful suggestions most welcome

    thanks
    ed

Is it possible that they’re in CMYK mode? If you got the logo from an agency or a person who mostly does print, chances are it’s in CMYK – convert it to RGB in Photoshop, or have the client do it.

I would bring it into Illustrator or Photoshop and convert it to a usable bitmap file. That way, you’ll have more control over handling the logos (ensuring they are being converted at the right resolution and correct color mode) before bringing them in to edit with.
