I’m designing a text based logo for a client that has requested a font similar to the one used on the Dune cover below. I’m having a super hard time finding anything close. Of course I’ll have to edit the font quite a bit but something that could provide a decent base would be amazing.

I really appreciate any help! Hopefully this is an okay forum to post this in since I’m using Photoshop and PS people tend to know their fonts 🙂

I’m pretty sure it isn’t a font (99.9%). It’s calligraphy. Back when that book was published, fonts came in books and stuff like this was done by hand. Do a search instead for calligraphic fonts or script fonts with a high thick-to-thin ratio (diagonal) and you should come up with something pretty close you can use.

    Hope this helps. 🙂

Chances are you could go on Dafont.com and find an identical (or near enough to it) font to use. They also have loads of calligraphic fonts as well

Use WhatTheFont (https://www.myfonts.com/WhatTheFont/). You can upload an image and the site will suggest the closest matches it knows. You’ll have to edit the image in photoshop to be (close to) black text on white background for better results.
