    Hello,

Hopefully this should be an easy question to answer…

I am relatively new to after effects but I have been asked to animate a logo.
The link to the old SD version is below…it will be the same but just needs updating so it is HD.

    My plan of action is…

    1. Mask the logo and animate the mask so the logo appears at the right rate
    2. Create a spark and key frame it to follow the unveiling of the logo

I am reasonably confident doing this, the only thing I am unsure of is how to make the logo yellow as the spark ‘writes it out’ and then fade back to red? Another animation behind the logo? Any advice on how to achieve this would be greatly appreciated! I have googled but I was unsure what to google?!?

    Thanks

    Justin

You can also create an adjustment layer with an animated mask that is feathered. The mask should travel with the light/spark. On the adjustment layer you can apply a Hue?Saturation filter that can change the red to a bright yellow. You can animate the properties of the plugin as well as the Mask expansion to give the impression of flicker.
