    Afternoon Pasture!

I have a colleague who is currently in Afghanistan and is having MBP issues. He just called me saying that he can’t log into OSX (10.4.11) After he logs into the admin user account, it stats to load, then jumps straight back to the log on screen. He tries to log in again, and the same thing happens again.
We have another account on that MBP which has limited access, used for guest editors etc, and he can log in fine with that account, just not with the main account.
I don’t have anymore information than that at the moment, and without wanting to jump straight into reinstalling the OS, I thought I’d post here to see if anyone has any thoughts.
I suggested he booted in safe mode, but the problem remains.
    Any thoughts would be appreciated.
    Thanks in advance!!

    hello…

ooph – that’s a tough one, because you’d need an admin account to do most fixes that might work… :-/

i can’t recall if lower-level accounts can see all the logs, but you might want to try that and see if anything in there hints at what’s happening. they are a bit cryptic to read, though…

also maybe try booting from the cd and then looking around?
