Just reaching out to anyone with experience with Logic Pro.
I have a few docs in FCPX and need to export audio.
Using XML to Logic has been easy but have experienced some oddities.
Fixed them all but this new one has me stumped.
It doesn’t like RED embedded Audio from a pickup shoot.
We didn’t have access to a recorder so we went straight to my RED Scarlet.
The files show up as Stereo so that didn’t work.
Then I changed it to Double Mono still no go.
Basically, the files are not present in the Logic import.
Is it possible that Logic can’t break into the RED files to import?
My last hope would be to export each audio and re-import into FCPX and place on timecode.
But man that’s a lot of work.

Use X2Pro and send an embedded AAF to Logic of just those clips.

I have this issue all the time. X2pro does not always solve the problem… If anyone can figure out what we can do inside of our project files to ensure XML’s copy properly I would be so grateful!
PS – assigning audio roles in fcpx can often solve the problem. When exporting the XML the meta data view is default set to “general” scroll down and select audio. This sometimes works perfectly – other times not… I am currently working on project with reference sound recorded on the canon mach ii and audio recorded on the ZOOM h6 with Senheizer lapelle mics.
Of four episodes (all recorded and edited the same way) 2 of the XML’s imported into logic perfectly and two of them were unusable…
