I’m now working with RealityLog 2003, an extremely crap software. We use this software to make logs on reality shows. Is there any better alternatives that would do the same thing? I need to be able to print complete clip lists with description and I need to be able to export to batch-lists compatible with either FinalCut or Avid.

Take a look at Imagine Products line of products.
    https://www.imagineproducts.com/

We have been using their software for years and are very happy with it.

Dan Montgomery’s products are great; I used them long ago when they were the only real game in town. Their new products look like winners, too. It’s just that Media Log is included with Avid. 😉

    imho Avid Medialog sucks.
You cannot enter massive amounts of text fast, and you cannot type while controlling the video.
    Also, you cannot put
    returns
    in your text…

Great, Bouke. Glad to see your product is so versatile.

The Toolshed is known for crafting some fine products, IMHO.

    Thanks for the kind words!
I just updated the Mac version, should be swell now.

Do not hesitate to ask if you want something custom done!

I agree that they’re not bad, but slightly overpriced.
Waht is bad is that he’s stealing ideas from some other developers…
Let’s say i don’t discuss new features in public fora anymore )-:

What about ability to add modifier keys to keyboard shortcuts (ie command, option, shift, control)

    Shift is already there…
(just try holding shift in the keyboard shortcuts window, and add your custom keystroke(s))

I could add more, but the way it is now, with the option to have the numeric part for machine control, i don’t see the need to add some more. Why would you need more? Do you like to press two keys when one is sufficient?

More important (to me), did you try the windows or the mac version?
