Whenever I try logging in Final Cut Pro 6, the preview disables, the program freezes and I have to force quit out. Capture now works, however the logging button doesn’t. Does anyone have any idea about why this might be happening?

This isn’t normal. Have you restarted or deleted your preferences yet?

Not yet. Sorry, I’m a bit new to the whole settings and preferences side of editing. How would I go about doing this.

You should read the manual about log and capture.

Plus provide details about your system We can’t see your computer. Be as exact as you can. What settings are on the media? What settings are you using in Final Cut? What computer are you using? What drives? What camera or deck? How’s everything connected? What version of the application are you using, and what version of the OS and of QT are you using?

    All the best,

    Tom
