LOGGING in FCP 6.05
I have a MacBookPro running FCP 6.05 connecting via eSata to a CalDigit S2VR Duo that contains shot footage from an EX3. I would like to JUST log a clip in the LOG AND TRANSFER window without having to actually create a whole other digitized copy that eats space on the RAID – which seems to be what happens when I “add clip to cue.” Any way of doing this?

Don’t add it to the queue. Just click and watch it. If you don’t move it down to the queue, it won’t transfer.

Thank you for responding. I can set in and out points for a clip and without add it to the queue that information will be saved. But I’m really looking log several sections of any one clip. I appreciate any ideas…

only way I know to do that is to add them to the queue so they come in as individual clips.

Walter is correct.
I’m not a user of the EX series, but we do use the XDCAM HD flavor and if I create several subclips within a clip, I can import those ONLY if I wish.
