Logging Grouped clips for editor
Hello folks!
Perhaps someone out there can offer some suggestions on how I should approach this task.
I have 3 days of material that I have used and grouped the cams together for each respective day. Now that I have all the cams grouped I need to log reaction shots as well as separate the broll and place it in their own folder. I am working on a reality type project where the footage is out in the field.
Here is what I am wondering as I don’t have a whole lot of experience handling this part of the process…My plan is to load the Day 1 Final groups into my source and begin watching down the footage and add a locator to the good shots and add a description. I assume that I should be doing that to the grouped footage not the subclip nor master clip correct?
Normally on these types of projects are they master files supposed to have the description added onto the file name as well, ie 0401A01_DAY_EXT_WALKING?
Anyone who has reality experience on Avid handling these same type of tasks out there shed a little light on this subject? It would be most helpful for me. I appreciate it!
Cheers!
