  • Log many clip columns with same info

I have 1000’s of clips to log before I begin editing, many clips share common info such as Day# or Sponsor Name, Location, etc.

What would be the procedure and Is there a easy way to select many clips and choose or input information such as Day or location, etc and have all the selected clips log that info. FCP had a very easy way of doing this and would actually retain or build that data base as you input and made it really easy to log many clips at once.

    Your help is greatly appreciated.

Add whatever you want to however many clips you want with the metadata panel. find a schema you like and stick with it. Select either in Media Browser or Bridge or Prelude and tag away.

A followup question to this – I’m missing something very basic obviously, but exactly how do I enter text into the metadata of several clips at once in Premiere? Any text column at all, say SCENE for example, if I want 100 clips to say Scene 01 how do I do that without copying/pasting 99 times?

    Thanks!
