Log and Transfer/Pro Res’ing RED ONE footage
This project is making me feel like crying…
Please see attached picture… basically the log and transfer seems to only be Pro Res’ing a short portion of the clip. Am I doing something wrong – Im trying to Pro Res my RED ONE footage so I can actually use it!- and I thought IId done it all this morning but then as I come to see the footage – only SOME of the footage is there in its entity!…
Can anyone please give me a simple step x step on how to Pro Res something unless because Im obviously missing something.
Where do the Pro Res files go to once theyve ‘encoded’?…. straight and automatically into the bin right?… (and the originbal Pro Res files will now be made with in my capture scratch folder right?)

Ensure on the settings tab on log and transfer you have it set to import as ProRes, not native. Your encoded files will be put in your capture scratch folder. However, this looks like another issue. Was the footage on CF cards? Have you kept the entire folder structure of each card when it was copies to your drives?

First open the footage in Red Alert or RedCine and check the footage there, I recommend using RED’s tools for the conversions if you are having any issues as all.
Have you confirmed that you have all of the contents of each card/ drive?

We’re having the same issue. Some FCP L&T’d clips we’re missing footage, and with almost no consistency. We’re currently re-ingesting with RED Alert. I’ll be following this thread closely.

I’ve temporarily given up using LnT for Red files ingest. I’ve seen the exact same issue as you are with partial files. Further, some files which get an exclamation mark during ingest, when retried, get dupes with a ‘1’ or a ‘2’ or later numbers suffixed. So you have multiple copies of the same clip but with varying lengths.
By the way, the exact same clips that abort with LnT convert just fine with Red Rushes, Red alert, or even Clipfinder.
And finally, LnT sets reel name to folder name which is not consistent with Red Alert or Red Rushes converts.
