Log and Transfer stopped working!
I’m using FCP 6.0.6 on 2x3ghz quad core Intel, connecting a FC reader via firewire. Footage shot on Sony z7, HDV 1080 60i.
I have been using log and transfer this way without a hitch. Suddenly, both the computer and FCP no longer recognize the FC reader. Only when I turn the computer off, does the reader show a broken connection icon. No light goes on on the reader (yes it is powered).
I tried re-installing the Sony plug-in and this did not help either.
Thoughts?

After restarting the computer about 6 times, log and transfer started working again. I don’t know why it went out, or how it came back. (The L&T window would be there, but clips did not appear). Any thoughts still appreciated! Nancy

It seems I haven’t solved it after all. After restarting the computer about 3 times, FCP recognized one FC and I input the data. I have since restarted the computer about 12 times, to no avail. I cannot get anything to load in the log and transfer window.
