Log and Transfer Only Transfers Some Files
Hello everyone –
I use Log and Transfer in my home office all the time and never (well, rarely) have problems with it.
At work, we just got a Panasonic AG-AC160A last week, and I plugged in the card for the first time to transfer the footage. Out of 50 clips, only 15 will show up or transfer. The clips themselves are fine – they play back on the camera with no problem – but they will NOT show up in Log and Transfer. Well, I take that back – it shows that there are clips, but that they have a duration of 00:00 and there is no thumbnail (see photo).
As we just got this camera and it’s the holidays (and I don’t have the authorization to install ANYTHING on my computer), I’m still waiting for our IT guys to install Panasonic AVCHD Importer and ClipWrap. In the meantime, is there anything I can do to get FCP to recognize and import these files?

Nothing without installing the software you mentioned or 5DtoRGB.
If you have VCL on your computer, you can try to play the MT2 to check if they are OK, but won’t be of any help to using them on FC.
For whatever reason FC has problem to recognize the clips.
