Log and Transfer: Only partial window displayed
Posted by Fred Soffa on January 6, 2011 at 10:52 pmAt Log and Transfer. Media on CF card, 5D. When I open Log and Transfer, I only see the Preview pane. I do not see the Clip list, the Transfer Cue, or the Logging area. Nor do I see all the top browser menu for that window.
Any suggestions as I need to fix this for my transcoding, and to get the EOS plug in operational.

January 7, 2011 at 2:25 amThe FCP transitions are the same as FCE. There are third party transitions.
All the best,

January 7, 2011 at 2:28 amDrag out the separator between the windows. If the list is missing drag the left edge to the right and the list will snap out.

January 7, 2011 at 8:05 amHappy to help, after years of only asking for help. Here’s what someone wrote me on the CC forum in response to my original request (oddly deleted): Quit out of app, go to the library folder within your main user folder and trash all FCP related folders/docs in the preference and cache folders. When you re-open app you’ll have to re-do your Easy Set up. Hope this works for you – it did for me. Nick.

January 8, 2011 at 1:14 amugh. This seemed like the answer, but I don’t have any final cut files or folders in my Library! I have a cache folder but it is indecipherable. for now I’ll just use compressor, and see if I have the same issues with my P2 card reader.

January 8, 2011 at 3:14 pmIt works; you have to pull it out far enough, and it will snap open. It doesn’t scroll out from the edge.
All the best,
Tom

Aha, did it. Spent a couple of minutes with the pane divider, again. Got it by pushing in on the divider, instead of pulling.
Thanks everyone who helped me solve this!!

March 14, 2013 at 11:08 amHi, I was trying to fix this earlier and I managed to click on the bar at the side hold control and move it and the viewer popped up.
