  • Log and transfer of m2t files

Hi, I apologise for the long post

So I am getting the message.

“VIDEO ” contains unsupported media or has an invalid directory structure. Please choose a folder whose directory structure matches supported media.

    I filmed using a sony z7.
Now I have the sony plugin and have been log and transferring with no problems. What I did was change the the name of the folder containing the HVR files from VIDEO to VIDEO 2 just because it was day 2 of filming and now i get the above message. I’ve changed the name of the file back to VIDEO but still get the warning message. Now i realise I shouldn’t have changed the name of the folder but surely it can’t be this difficult to get m2t files into FCP. I would normally just start from the cf card again but I hired the equipment so that is no longer possible.

Any suggestions are welcome I know I could look at software that converts m2t files to quicktime but that is time consuming and I’m worried about the quality I would end up with.

    Many thanks Steve.
