Log and transfer issue
On my system there are 6 Storage devices that show up on the desktop at startup: The 4 internal drives in my Mac Pro, a Lacie 8TB Raid, and my 4 TB Drobo that I use for AVCHD and P2 card raw file storage.
When I start the Log and transfer dialog inside FCP, one of the internal discs and the Drobo always showup inside the Log & Transfer window, no matter how the system was saved on the last shutdown. I try ejecting the drive within Log & transfer, saving the project, rebooting, no matter what when I open up Log & Transfer the two devices are sitting there waiting for me.
I copy the contents of my cards (wether they be P2 or AVCHD) onto the Drobo and Log & transfer from there, but only after navigating to the specific folder. Is there any way you can think of (besides not having the drives mounted) the Log Transfer bin being empty when started?
By the way this issue followed me from FCP 6 through a clean install of FCP 7 and Snow Leopard.
