I get distorted audio when I transfer a clip from the Log and Transfer window. The audio plays fine in the preview window. I am transferring from a Sony DSR-DU1. This device is a supported device according to the latest FCP 6 manual. My project settings are set to DV NTSC 48. Any thoughts on why the distorted audio. I tried this on two different MAc Pro systems.

Bobby, did you figure this issue with the audio? I have the same problem.

    Thanks Randy

Hey Randall, I never did find out why. I did contact Apple Support, and they tried a DSR- DU1 on their system like mine and it worked for them. They could only suggest my DU1 was the problem. I reformatted my DU1 and still had the problem. I did not have any more time to mess with this so I picked up a DR-60 and that works well. At this time I would not buy a DR 60, I would get the HVR-MRC1K.
Sorry I do not have a solution, I’ll try the DU1 one more time.

Bobby, my audio is good on the preview. so I think it has to be in the fc setup.
