Recently I’ve encountered something strange in Log and Transfer. Whenever I try to mount a folder with File Based Media in it, Final Cut crashes and returns an “Unexpected error”.

I’ve tried this on both XDCAM and P2 footage, from a variety of drives and it happens no matter what I try to load. I’ve also tried trashing preferences and all the other usual suspects to no luck.

I’m hoping to avoid a full uninstall and re-install if possible. If anyone has any insight it would be greatly appreciated.

Is the folder on a hard drive or on the card that recorded it? I’d be sure to copy from the card to a hard drive for import.

I’ve tried mounting data from an external SATA drive, from the tower itself, as well as RAID server, and they all encounter the same error.
