log and transfer codec
I tried to log and transfer shots from my 7D compact flash card tonight. Unlike the previous times I have logged and transferred, FCP transferred as ProRes 4444 not 422. I couldn’t find any way in L and T to select a codec before transferring. The sequence is set for 422, render control in User Prefs is ‘Same as Sequence’ but I think that is for rendering the timeline.
How do I tell Log and Transfer to import as Pro Res 422?

In the L&T window, in the upper middle, there is a SPROCKET menu. Click on that and choose PREFERENCES. In there you will be given the option as to what codec to transcode to.
