when attempting to ingest from my DV deck, I get an error..
“capture encountered a problem reading the data on your source tape. This could be to a problem with the tape.’

it then… to capture as much of your footage as possible… please capture a clip that ends befre this segment and another one that starts right after it.

not sure what that means.. but I was able to play the tape and log.. but the batch didn’t work either.

Suggestions? I have not yet figured out the camera connection and will try that as well.

Tape is miniDV SD… deck is panasonic AG-DV2500

Could there be timecode breaks on the tape that are preventing it from batch capturing? If so, just do a crash capture (play the tape and hit “capture now” instead of logging ins and outs for batching).

Turns out, it wasn’t a time code issue, I changed the setting from DV50 to DV and it worked. It was not reading the data from the deck nor cam.
and I had to change the audio from 48 to 32 as well.

    Thanks though!
