Log and Capture Issues
I am currently working on my first big project with my new Canon 7D and am having all kinds of trouble with the post. I know that you need to convert the clips from the H.264 codec to something else, I used MPEG Streamcip to convert them to Apple ProRes 422. Then when I try to Log and Capture the clips I get an error message that won’t let me Log and Capture. I know that I am probably missing a step here so if anybody could fill me in as to what works best that would be greatly appreciated.

LOG and CAPTURE is for tape based formats. Log and TRANSFER is for tapeless formats. But you already converted the footage, so all you need to do is IMPORT…or drag the footage into your project.
