Im wondering if I can log and capture footage(offline 15:1) in Avid Xpress, then open the project in Media Composer on a different computer, with the captured footage(in OMF folder) on a firewire drive, and have everything reconnect fine? Also, with all my project settings, bins, sequences, upgrade to Composer? I don’t want to re-capture the media in Composer, so Im hoping moving the OMF file on a firewire will do the trick. Any thoughts on this workflow would be great.

There’s no reason it shouldn’t work. If you are upgrading, I would back up everything in your project file to a seperate disk and store if far from your CPU. That should keep the edit gremlins confused just long enough.
