  log and capture crash

  I’m trying to capture from my Sony viu HDV camera and lately it’s been crashing on log. The screen won’t come up and then the bouncing ball that demands a force quit. After i force quit and restart, often it will work fine. I have a MacPro with 4gig ram and octo processor running FCS 2. I threw out the preferences last time, but that hasn’t helped. The scratch drive is a 465 gig lacie with 110 gig left on it, which should be enough.
