    Is there a possibility to lock only shy layers?

    I have a rig and sometimes I accidently push a button that brakes the expressions between layers. Even though I use ctrl+z, it doesn’t bring the expression alive again. I have to open up all the layers I don’t need when animating, unlock them, select all and press U to see what expression is deactivated.

    After this I have to lock all the layers, one by one to get back to the position I was earlier.
    But, normally the layers that are shy, are the ones that are locked. So It would make some sense to me to have an option to lock only shy layers, wouldn’t it?

    I’ve written a script to do just that. It’s fairly crude but its effective. There are better scripts at aescripts.com, Zorro the Layer Tagger comes to mind.

    If you’d like, here is the script. I assume no liability.

    I also think this could be a nice little thing. Thank you for your responses, I’ll post adobe and also check if Ridleys solution might work for me.

    Kari;

    I cleaned up the code and made it a dockable panel. Put this new script in the ScriptUI panels folder and access it from the window menu.
