Locking down resizes
Posted by Vladimir Kucherov on January 20, 2011 at 5:14 pmIs there a way to locking down a resize on a clip/shot so it exists outside of the color correct? Right now I feel like I have to leave all resizing work until after color is locked, because any copy/paste of a grade will reset the repo I’ve done.
I don’t know if it’s just not possible or I’m missing a way to create a repo that is locked down to the shot and isn’t affected by any changes other changes done to it.

January 20, 2011 at 5:59 pmI thought I had answer.
Color page. Clip tab lower right.. Click on the lock. This should work.. But if I apply a grade from a still it seems to override the lock. Nothing locks.. What does this do on the mac version??
I’ll do a little more research and see what I can find out.NOTE: The comments above are strictly mine, and may not necessarily

January 20, 2011 at 6:03 pmok it locks down the panels but not applying from a still.. Ouch.. I think this needs to be fixed.
How I would deal with this is:
right click on the still, display node graph. apply color only.NOTE: The comments above are strictly mine, and may not necessarily

January 21, 2011 at 6:55 amI have had a bit similar question but just with color nodes.
If it would be possible to add from still but in a way that still nodes will
append to already existing ones. So if i make balanced shots and just want to add look.
It would make stuff much more faster than dragging nodes from stills tree.—

January 21, 2011 at 2:14 pmFor some reason that was my impression of what Power Grades are for – no? You develop look grades that are meant to go over balanced footage and “just work” – but I’m surprised there is no “append” shortcut yet.

January 23, 2011 at 10:10 amAha I think this one is easy. Switch your Resolve to Color or PTZR from the Session menu (I think). By default this is ALL. When you are in Color mode, and you recall a mem, only the Color is recalled. When you are in PTZR, only the PTZR is recalled. If I understood your question correctly, this should work.
This same control also affects when you press the Mark/Dynamic key. It would mark only the current node or the PTZR list, instead of all the lists.
