    Hi,

I have an issue with textures here. Isn’t there a way to lock the aspect ratio when scaling a texture in C4D? Say I need to fix a texture by using “fit to image”. After using this command, the texture coordinates end up with some strange unequal x and y offsets. Actually, I have no idea why C4D can’t open a texture with correct aspect ratio – I always have to fix the ratio upon adding the texture. Anyway, my problem is that I can’t figure out how to scale and keeping a “fixed ratio”. In all CG apps that I use, there’s always some alt+ or shift+ comand to hold whilst scaling – but not in C4D. What am I missing? Thanks for any help.

    cheers

If you’re using the texture scale tool if you turn axis bands on it should allow you to scale proportionally… or in the material editor use the length X and Y and that should allow you to increase the size proportionally.

The issue when you say fit to image… is that your aspect ratios of your texture map and image don’t match and thus when Cinema Scales the image it has odd offsets… I think…
