locked out of after effects project
Hi All,
I’m running CS3 & have been completely locked out of a project I was working on.
I was trying to get some data from a comp in another project, so i closed down this project, opened up the old project, selected what I needed in the comp & copied it. I pasted it into the new project & it came up fine but with some files saying “Original Source Deleted”. I couldn’t remember which exact files they were so I saved & closed, opened up the old project & noted the file names.
Now, whenever I try to get back into the new project, After Effects loads up, the project window opens and then I get error 00:42. I’ve checked on websites & this seems to be the most generic error message around!
Is there anything I can do with this project? I’m pretty sure it’s the “original source deleted” files which are the problem. Does anyone have any advice they can give me?

Thanks Dave, that solution worked a treat. Didn’t know that Import File could be used for that purpose.
