Not quite a FCP question.. but no answer on the XDCAM forum..
Using MBP 17inch exp card slot down loading 35 GB SXS type 1 (orange ones ) via XDCAM browser,and now Content browser.. if I down load a card with the write protect tab clicked over .. all the files are locked.. with the Pro cards with write protect tab clicked on.. files come up un locked..
Should the type 1 cards also come up unlocked.. ? all my type 1 cards do this.. not a big problem.. just have to un click protect tab before inserting into exp slot.. but anyway its been on my mind for a while to ask why..
Or is there a unlock all files in Content browser..havnt ever found one.. I dont have FCP ..

I use an script for “Automator” which unlocks all the files at once, but I know there are some other options with the Terminal.

Dont know what it means 🙂 but thanks anyway.. if its not something in Content browser I probably wouldnt bother to do it.. just pull the tab before inserting into EXP slot

I was talking about how to batch unlock files of any nature on a Mac, instead of going through the Info window file by file.
