Lock Video Move Audio
Posted by Ari Grunzeweig on May 4, 2018 at 1:36 pmFor the longest time, when moving clips, I would hold shift to lock the video layer to a track and then place the audio layer in the track i want.
CC2018 seems to have lost that feature, or made it work differently…
Any ideas?
Thanks!
Thanks,

May 7, 2018 at 1:14 pmThanks Dave, but not at all what I was asking. Sorry If I was unclear.
In the past when I move around layers, audio or video, let’s say I drag video to layer 2, then click shift to hold it in place and move audio of the same clip to the audio track I want. Makes it a very seamless motion.
That shift to hold in place seems to have vanished…
Any ideas?
Thanks,

May 7, 2018 at 2:58 pmYou might try out working with the “Drag Video Only” button on your source monitor tool panel. It’s icon is a small film strip looking rectangle. There is an audio only option as well, that icon looks like an audio waveform.

See this tutorial I recorded a while back… this explains how to do the exact thing that has now gone missing.
Thanks!!
