Has anyone tried recording on some of the newer style of recorders ( non moving parts ) ie Compact Flash cards or the ‘Zoom H2’ , ‘Zoom H4’ onto SD cards or even the Gemini IKEY / IKEY PLUS using a USB Thumb Drive?
Did they work well or not?
    Do they hold sync?
Did you have to use the film style of shooting with clapper boards for sync etc?
Are there any major problems etc?

i used the 702 Time code version and is an excellent recorder, but its timecode capabalities are only worth it if your camera supports TC IN/OUT, which mine didnt so i just left the video
camera mic on and used that as a guide track.

mind you, theres a difference in price

    702t—-$2500

    zoom recorders $300-$700
