  location mixer needed for feature film

  Hi there,
  I am wondering which location mixer would you recommend to use with the Sennheiser G3 lavs (2 lavs), MKH416, and recording onto a R44. I’m looking in the range of 500 to 800 dollars or less…If not able to get hold of one, I was wondering whether I could use a y-cable with the Sennheiser MHK416 recording into two channels and using the second track as a back up recording with much “colder” levels
