Activity Forums Adobe Premiere Pro locating clips in the timeline

  • locating clips in the timeline

Often in my video projects I use multiple clips (often over a hundred). When I am working in the timeline, I can easily select a clip, right click and locate that clip in the project window.

What I want to be able to do is just the opposite, find a clip in the project window that I know has been used and tell premiere to locate that clip wherever it is on the timeline.

Can this be done, and if so how?

    Thanks in advance,

    Carl

Nope. The only thing I can think could help you (not a one step thing), is to change the default label color for dynamic link in your preferences to say bright red, then, when you are looking for a clip, change its label color in the project panel to that particular color. It will then be easy to locate on the timeline.

Use the little drop down arrow in the project window, right to the movie info, to display it’s usage on the time line.
