  Locate media dialog confusing

  This is my first run-in with relinking media in CC since coming from CS6. I was certainly impressed at how “intelligent” the program was supposed to be in finding missing media. But, that hasn’t been my reality so far.

  I have the simple issue of some AE rendered titles (with alpha channels) that I moved to a more convenient location on my RAID. In other words, the classic example of what the new locate media dialog is supposed to handle with ease.

  When I use the media browser to browse to where I moved the files, I can see the missing files, but I can’t select one! If I try to hit OK anyway, it says the media type isn’t supported. Fortunately, I can deselect “Use media browser to locate files.” I can then use Windows Explorer to do the job for me without a problem! Why am I having this problem with the Media Browser?
